Bass

Bass fishing has really picked up in the Hayward area in the last few years. Smallmouth bass action in early to mid June is so good you'll actually leave the boat with sore arms. Largemouth Bass are producing all season long.

Walleye / Crappie

Your best bet for Walleye is to fish from May through August depending on water temperature. Crappy and Blue Gill are good from May through July. Nice Crappy are also caught in September.

Keep in mind that while fishing for one specie of fish you will run across other species as well. For example, if we go for Walleye we might catch nice Blue Gill, Crappy, Bass, Northern etc...

Musky are good all season and truly are awesome to catch. The excitement of catching a Musky is right up there with bagging a huge buck, sky diving, bungi jumping, space ship rides...you get the picture. Multiple catches are common for a full day of fishing. September is a good time of the year for numbers and big fish. A couple of these clients caught 5-7 Musky in 1 day of fishing.
